It can be difficult to make big changes in your lifestyle, especially when you don’t have the tools to understand how, or even where to start.  I had a big wake up call after I had my twin girls.

After becoming a Mom, it took me almost two years to figure out a routine where I prioritized time for myself.  I quickly learned, I could show up most efficiently for my family as long as I was taking the time I needed for me and my needs also.  It took some time, but I have learned to love myself again, and to appreciate my body for what is has carried me through.  As your personal trainer, I want to help you create a strong and healthy relationship with your body.  One where you walk past a mirror and never fail to see how strong you really are.

“I believe personal training should be specifically designed for YOU.

Program benefits

Build Strength

Strength training helps to develop lean body mass and decrease total body fat.  Whether you’re looking to build muscle, lose weight, or complete your daily tasks more efficiently – strength training is an important foundation in all of my programs.

Improve Body Composition

Losing weight is often the most named motivator for starting a wellness program. While weight loss is important for some individuals’ health, my programs focus on progress by body measurements and percieved body image.  I’ll never ask you to step on a scale.

Recovery and Rehab

Movement is essential in the recovery process of injury, disease, and life changing events.  Taking small steps to improve your overall health will make a signficant impact on your mental and physicall wellness.

Client Review

I have always hated working out at a gym. I had convinced myself that the only way I could work out was to take some kind of class or do an activity. However I always felt like I would never actually be able to reach my fitness goals that way.

Then two years ago when I broke my ankle, I felt at such a loss. I put on about 30 pounds and felt so weak. I had almost convinced myself that I would forever have issues with my ankle and not feel good about my body. Then I took Laura up on her training.

After training with her for five months, it’s safe to say I’m the happiest I’ve ever been with my body and have never felt so strong! There’s a huge difference in being skinny and being healthy and strong.

Laura has not only helped me find the latter but my ankle feels so much better! I don’t even think about it anymore. I cannot recommend Laura enough. She is motivating and encouraging. She eases you into it, makes you feel like you CAN do it and helps you reach your goals.

On top of that she just makes it fun! I actually enjoy going to the gym now! Thank you Laura! You have truly helped me find strength and love for myself again!

“(…) how important it is in life not necessarily to be strong, but to feel strong, to measure yourself at least once, to find yourself at least once in the most ancient of human conditions, facing the blind, deaf stone alone with nothing to help you but your hands and your own head.” – Christopher McCandless

I’ve never really experienced either form of strength. I was never involved in sports, and didn’t discover rock climbing and hiking until my senior year of high school. I’ve never really had confidence in my physical strength or abilities.

I hit a breaking point after a significant weight gain from depression, anxiety, and drinking, and reached out to Laura for help. I knew that I needed to change my habits, but I really wasn’t sure where to start and I didn’t have the confidence to even set foot in a gym without someone there to guide me.

I’ve only been working with Laura for a few months, but for the first time in my life, I actually feel strong. I go to workouts, and I leave feeling proud of myself and what I’ve accomplished, especially when it comes to lifting, and slowly gaining confidence in other areas of my life too.

I’m really grateful to be learning all these skills and changing my habits so when the time comes for me to go off on my own, I feel confident that I can keep it up and keep progressing.
